The Paper Factory Hotel
Located in the heart of Long Island City, adjacent to Kaufman Art’s District, The Paper Factory features an eclectic yet chic, design ethos, which is immediately visible upon arrival in the red British phone booth which is half concealed in the lobby floor, the vintage elevator doors that border the lobby and a spiral staircase that wraps a column made from 4,000 hard cover books. The lobby and reception area and the 123 guest rooms feature art from local and international artists personally curated by Gal. These offset 12-foot ceilings, large windows, and wood and polished concrete floors that provide the rooms with an industrial, yet luxurious atmosphere. Innovative furnishings such as floor lamps constructed from pipes and vintage hardware reflect the uniqueness of the building and the style of the surrounding neighborhood.
