Pet Philanthropy Circle

Pet Philanthropy Circle Founder Jewel Morris and NBC Commentator and Former Westminster Host David Frei hosted the organization’s 5th Anniversary Pet Hero Awards on Friday, October 7th 2016.

Naomi Judd was honored with the Humanitarian of the Year award. Alison Eastwood will receive the Animal Advocate of the Year and Katie Cleary will receive the Animal Welfare Spokesperson of the Year.

Georgina Bloomberg and Prince Lorenzo Borghese, were the night’s co-chairs while Jean Shafiroff will serve as Manhattan Committee Chair.

Additional honorees include the American Humane Association that will be named Outstanding Animal Welfare Organization; the Petco Foundation will be named Foundation of the Year; and Matthew Talbot, will be named Outstanding Junior of the Year.

HEART (Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers) will be honored with the Animal Welfare Education award, Jamie’s Rescue will be named Rescue Organization of the Year, and finally, Amazing Grace, a senior rescue dog will be named the year’s Outstanding Pet for inspiring a national campaign to end the painful deaths caused by killing dogs in gas chambers.

Alex Donner’s Orchestra and Beau Hulse will entertained guests during the award ceremony. Dancing will be held following the final award presentation.
