Writer Fran Lebowitz, Blaine Trump, and music legend Nile Rodgers were among the friends who gathered to celebrate jeweler Ann Dexter-Jones\u2019s birthday<\/strong> at the Clemente Bar. Her husband, Mick Jones of Foreigner, welcomed guests including Dorinda Medley<\/strong>, artist Marsia Holzer<\/strong>, and designers Francisco Costa<\/strong>, Wes Gordon<\/strong>, and Vanessa Noel<\/strong> at Eleven Madison Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ann\u2019s famous children were also there: music producer Mark Ronson<\/strong>, DJ Samantha Ronson<\/strong>, and actress Annabelle Dexter-Jones<\/strong>, who stars in Succession<\/em> and is engaged to Eleven Madison Park\u2019s chef\/owner Daniel Humm<\/strong>. Ann quipped, \u201cIn order for my new son-in-law to marry my daughter, he offered to give me this party. How convenient is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

She also revealed she’s working on a book: \u201cI was going to wait until some people died, but not everyone was cooperating, so my children told me to just tell the truth.\u201d With stories involving Paul McCartney<\/strong> and Mick Jagger<\/strong>, Ann promises an entertaining read. Music for the evening was provided by her son Mark Ronson, and Annabelle and Humm brought out the cake, as guests sang “Happy Birthday” \u2014 even in a room full of rock royalty.<\/p>\n

Southampton Arts Center Celebrates 250 Years of the American Flag<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Southampton Arts Center (SAC)<\/strong> launched Memorial Day weekend with a powerful exhibition titled \u201cIndependency: The American Flag at 250 Years,\u201d<\/strong> curated by historian John Monsky<\/strong>. The show tells the story of America through rare flags \u2014 from one commissioned by Martha Washington in 1775<\/strong> to flags flown on the Apollo moon missions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Divided into four galleries \u2014 Introduction<\/em>, Campaigns, Parades, and Protests<\/em>, Vietnam and the Moon<\/em>, and Sacrifice<\/em> \u2014 the exhibition blends historical artifacts with photos and drawings. It invites visitors to reflect on the flag\u2019s enduring place in American identity.<\/p>\n

The show runs through July 19th<\/strong>. SAC\u2019s co-founders are Simone Levinson<\/strong> and J. Whitney Stevens<\/strong>, with notable supporters including Hilary and Wilbur Ross<\/strong>, Jamee and Peter Gregory<\/strong>, Bently Meeker<\/strong>, and Jean Shafiroff<\/strong>.

James Franco\u2019s \u201cHollywood is Hell\u201d in Zurich<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In Zurich<\/strong>, artist and actor James Franco<\/strong> debuted his provocative new show \u201cHollywood is Hell\u201d<\/strong> at the Galerie Gmurzynska<\/strong>, a collaboration with Lucas Bscher<\/strong>. Featuring 28 large-scale canvases and assemblages, the exhibit reflects the gritty chaos of Los Angeles during COVID \u2014 a visual narrative Franco calls \u201ca portrait of LA.\u201d<\/p>\n

Franco explains, \u201cIt\u2019s really my young actor self being repurposed and put into the collages.\u201d Known for his multidisciplinary practice, Franco has exhibited at MOCA Los Angeles<\/strong>, Pace<\/strong>, and Gagosian<\/strong>. This new show continues his exploration of celebrity, memory, and artistic identity.

Jude Law<\/strong> is nearly unrecognizable on set in Riga, Latvia<\/strong>, filming The Wizard of the Kremlin<\/em> with Alicia Vikander<\/strong>, Paul Dano<\/strong>, and Zach Galifianakis<\/strong>. Law portrays Vladimir Putin<\/strong> in a political drama tracing his rise after the Soviet collapse.<\/p>\n

Thomas Pierce<\/strong>, an executive producer on the film and founder of the Children\u2019s Oncology Support Fund (COSF)<\/strong>, reports that Law\u2019s performance is already generating Oscar buzz.
