Fran Drescher, Andie MacDowell, Kathy Bates, Laura Linney, and Isaac Mizrahi have all been honored by the Hearing the Ovarian Cancer Whisper (H.O.W.) charity.<\/h2>\n

On August 7th, Michelin-starred chef Joe Isidori and his wife Louise Isidori will co-chair H.O.W.’s Hamptons benefit, titled \u201cSpeak Up and Speak Loud,\u201d at their restaurant Arthur & Sons in Bridgehampton, along with designer Andrea Stark. Louise, a stage four ovarian cancer survivor, will host the luxe lunch, which will feature a silent auction that includes a two-week all-expenses-paid trip to Rome and the Amalfi Coast courtesy of Pallini Limoncello. The event will raise funds for the Florida-based organization, which supports women who can\u2019t afford their basic living expenses while getting their treatments, as well as scholarships for doctors. Their next fundraiser will honor Kyle MacLachlan, who starred in \u201cTwin Peaks\u201d with Isabella Rossellini and in the original \u201cDune\u201d adaptation with Patrick Stewart and Sting, on January 26th in Palm Beach.<\/p>\n

D\u2019yan Forest\u2019s Bold New Show at Joe\u2019s Pub<\/h2>\n

D\u2019yan Forest, the Guinness World Record Holder for the Oldest Working Comedian, will debut her new show \u201cA Gefilte Fish Out of Water,\u201d which takes on antisemitism, on her 91st birthday at Joe\u2019s Pub on July 31st. D\u2019yan, who Joan Rivers once called \u201ca filthy ukulele player,\u201d became internationally famous last year when she got sucker-punched in the face in Greenwich Village and nearly lost her right eye. Forest, who has performed with Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan, will give her uncensored take on being a Jew in America, with stories, songs, and plenty of jokes. \u201cLet\u2019s laugh about it!\u201d says Forest, who told me, \u201cI have been through the ups and downs of antisemitism since I was five years old, so my show is about my life as a Jew. Chloe Misseldine\u2019s Stellar Debut at American Ballet Theatre<\/h2>\n

Prima ballerina Irina Dvorovenko, who appeared on The Americans with Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, led the parade of dance lovers to American Ballet Theatre to see Chloe Misseldine make her debut in choreographer Frederick Ashton\u2019s ballet Sylvia at the Metropolitan Opera House. Misseldine, age 23, was one of the youngest performers ever to be made a principal dancer at the age of 21. ABT\u2019s Artistic Director Susan Jaffe, board member Judith Hoffman, and dozens of supporters of Youth America Grand Prix\u2014the USA\u2019s largest ballet scholarship program where Misseldine got her start\u2014led the standing ovation for her and her co-star Calvin Royal III. Others in the audience included top plastic surgeon Dr. Bianca Molina, dermatologist Dr. Kenneth Mark, Bravo\u2019s Flipping Out star designer Chaz Dean, architect TC Chou, and artist Nevil Dwek, who was accepting kudos for his work in Holiday House\u2019s Designer Showhouse in the Hamptons.<\/p>\n

Authors Night at East Hampton Library<\/h2>\n

Hilaria Baldwin will autograph her revealing memoir \u201cManual Not Included\u201d at the 21st Annual Authors Night, hosted by the East Hampton Library on August 9th. Susan Sarandon went and ordered lentil bread, avocado hummus, cilbir, and beet salad at Foursome, the new Mediterranean restaurant with a Turkish twist\u2026Jeff Corwin, who hosts the CBS show \u201cThe Extraordinary World with Jeff Corwin,\u201dcelebrated not only being honored at Andy Sabin\u2019s 36th SOFO Gala, but also his birthday. The American biologist turned 58 and took the stage, only to be surprised by a cake and a roaring rendition of Happy Birthday.<\/p>\n

Christie Brinkley and Pamela Anderson: Kindred Spirits<\/h2>\n

Pamela Anderson<\/a> and Christie Brinkley<\/a> have more in common than you may think at first glance. Both are glamorous pinup girls famous for looking good in a bathing suit, each has been married and divorced four times, including from famous singers, Anderson from Tommy Lee and Kid Rock and Brinkley from Billy Joel. The two sex symbols even starred in the Broadway musical \u201cChicago,\u201d playing the role of Roxie Hart, a character known for her ambition and desire for fame. Pamela even went to see Christie in the hit show in 2011 before she took on the same part in 2022. Brinkley tells Social Life Magazine writer Matthew Berritt, \u201cI admire Pamela. I think we were both misread. Different myths were built around each of us, and now we\u2019ve found the freedom to say what was always ours. We\u2019re not salon blondes. We\u2019re hands-in-the-dirt women. We bloom in the garden.\u201d Brinkley, whose new memoir \u201cUptown Girl\u201d is a New York Times bestseller, also talks about her ex-husband Billy Joel, saying they met in a tiny bar in St. Barth\u2019s. \u201cIt was like someone\u2019s garage with the door open,\u201d she confides of the spot that only had a few seats and an upright piano tucked into a corner. And once you\u2019re the bad cop, they don\u2019t want to be with you anymore.\u201d Brinkley goes on to talk about the painful moment she was told by a Southampton cop that her fourth husband, Peter Cook, was seeing a much younger girl. \u201cI asked him to repeat it.\u201d And that was the end of the marriage that left her with two wonderful children, Sailor and Jack. When asked how it felt to see \u201cUptown Girl\u201d land on the best-seller list, \u201cI had thought this book might just sit on shelves,\u201d she confided. \u201cI worried it would embarrass my kids. But people bought it. They loved it.\u201d And: \u201cI cried,\u201d Brinkley confessed.
