Lives in New York City and Southampton with his King Charles Cavalier Phantom. He attended Georgetown and American Universities where he studied creative writing with Pulitzer and Oscar -winning author Larry McMurtry. Hay began his career as one of the original contributing editors to Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine and went on to write for Town and Country and People Magazines. He is currently the society columnist for Avenue Magazine and a contributing editor / writer for Hamptons and Gotham and Travel Squire.com.
Couri appears regularly on television commenting on political figures, society and Hollywood. His TV appearances include, CNN, FOX, PBS, The Today Show, E! News Live, Showbiz Tonight, MSNBC Live, ABC’s Primetime Live and VH1’s Fabulous Life.
He is the CEO of R. Couri Hay Creative Public Relations, a full-service press and Public Relations Agency in NYC. R. Couri Hay is also the Co-founder & Editorial Director of Park Magazine.
